Fort Leavenworth offers instructional classes as part of the new Army initiative SKIESUnlimited (School of Knowledge, Inspiration, Exploration, and Skills). There are four schools in this structure:

• School of Arts, Recreation, and Leisure
• School of Sports, Fitness and Health
• School of Life Skills, Citizenship, and Leadership
• School of Academic Skills, Mentoring, and Intervention

Year-round classes are offered in each of these schools. Current classes are listed below:

We welcome qualified new instructors for our SKIESUnlimited instructional program - both long and short term classes. Contract instructors receive 70% of the fees collected for each class, and are invited to provide input regarding class content, schedule, age group, and cost per student. There are background checks, experience, and training requirements. We are especially in need of new instructors for our extensive gymnastics program.

If you have a talent you would like to share with Fort Leavenworth's young people, please call the SKIES Instructional Program Office at 684-3207 to request an application.


Part-time gymnastics instructors and a cooking and/or cake decorating instructor are needed this fall. Call 684-3207 for more information.
