Fort Leavenworth FMWR

The 19th annual Great Escape Run will take place on August 25 at 8:15 a.m. Start and finish will be in the parking lot behind the old USDB. You have a choice of running a 6.4K or 10K. Cost is $14 for the 6.4K, $18 for the 10K, and $35 for families (up to four). Age groups 8-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over. This event is open to the public. Fort Leavenworth is an 'open' installation, which means that the general public is welcome to enter post without a military ID. All visitors and commercial traffic MUST use Grant gate. All visitors older than 16 need a valid government ID card, such as a driver's license, passport or military ID on entering the post. Vehicles must have current tags, proof of insurance and registration. It's convenient if all occupants of the vehicle have their ID cards out and ready.

Please note: Pre-registration for this event ends on the Wednesday before the run. You can still register on the day of the event. However, this will not guarantee a t-shirt and there will be no discount on the entry fee.
