The Association of the United States Army invites you to join the Heartland of America in celebrating the 237th Birthday of the United States Army. This year’s event will be held at the Westin Crown Center, 1 Pershing Road at Grand, Kansas City, Missouri, on Saturday, June 9, 5:30 p.m. We are pleased to announce our guest speaker is Lieutenant General David G. Perkins, Commander of the United States Army Combined Arms Center. The Center oversees the Command and General Staff College and 17 other schools, centers, and training programs located throughout the United States. The Center also develops the Army’s doctrinal manuals, training of the Army’s commissioned and non-commissioned officers, major training exercises, the integration of battle command systems, and the collection and dissemination of lessons learned. Throughout his career, he commanded at the company, battalion, task force, brigade, and theater level in Germany, Macedonia, Iraq, and the United States. General Perkins commanded the 4th Infantry Division prior to assuming Command of the Combined Arms Center.

We anticipate a full house so you are encouraged to mail your RSVP as soon as possible. If you are organizing tables, we are seating tables of ten. Wounded warriors and spouses of deployed soldiers will be sponsored by the chapters and the community.
