"I WILL SURVIVE" SEMINAR - Designed to help you survive and thrive during a deployment, unaccompanied tour or extended TDY. The seminar will be held on May 14 from 6 to 9 p.m. in room 20 located in the lower level of the Child Development Center. Registration is required and childcare is not provided. For more information and to register contact ACS Family Readiness Program, 684-2811.
KIDS FISHING DERBY - Hosted by the Rod and Gun Club on May 17 at Smith Lake. Registration begins at 8 a.m., fishing 9-11 a.m. and awards 11:30 a.m. All kids 15 and under are invited to attend! Awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and big fish by age groups. No cost for children of Rod and Gun Club members, non-members $3 each.
STOMP WORKSHOP - ACS Exceptional Family Member Program and Specialized Training of Military Parents (STOMP), nationally recognized as the source of information for military families who have children and young adults with disabilities or special needs, will be presenting a conference on May 19 and 20 at the Frontier Conference Center. This is an opportunity for you to gain knowledge and information on resources and strategies that can assist you in accessing services for your Exceptional Family Member. BUNCO NIGHT - May 20 at the Frontier Conference Center. Food and drinks available at 6 p.m. Game begins at 6:30 p.m. with great prizes! Authorized FMWR patrons over 18 can participate. Pre-register at the FCC. Cost of $10 includes food and one drink ticket.
The next FRIDAY FUN SHOOT is at noon May 16 at Brunner Range. The next SATURDAY FUN SHOOT will be held June 7 with registration from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Women and youth shooters are always welcome. Shotguns, shells and safety gear available. Call 651-8132 for information.
The 23rd annual PET FAIR will be held May 31 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hunt Lodge. Several animal organizations as well as carnival games, petting zoo, moon walk and a pet contest will be available for your enjoyment. While you're there, check out the new dog park!
