MOVIE UNDER THE STARS - Plan to bring the Family to view the movie classic "The Wizard of Oz" at Merritt Lake on July 10. Food and beverages available at 8 p.m. with the movie beginning at 9 p.m. Come dressed as your favorite character from the movie!

Year of the NCO JAZZ ON THE LAWN Celebration at Merritt Lake on July 18. Food and inflatables beginning at 6 p.m. and jazz band "Heat Index" performs at 7 p.m.

PAIR DAY & RELO EXPO - One stop shopping for activity sign-ups and information in a festival type atmosphere at Sherman Army Airfield on August 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. PAIR Day will feature a relo expo with real estate companies from across the country to help answer relocation questions.

The FMWR and Army Career Alumni Program (ACAP) JOB FAIR will take place August 11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Frontier Conference Center. Learn about employment options in the area at the Job Fair!

ARMY 10 MILE QUALIFICATION RUN will take place August 13 at 6 a.m. at Sherman Army Airfield. Two Fort Leavenworth teams will compete in the 2009 Army 10 Miler in Washington, D.C. on October 4. Event is open to active duty military only. Register at Gruber Fitness Center.

OUTDOOR POOLS ARE OPEN! Grant Pool is open Monday-Friday 1 to 7 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 1 to 8 p.m. Hancock Pool is open Monday-Friday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 1 to 8 p.m. Check out the new spray park at Hancock!

CANOPIES, INFLATABLES, PICNIC EQUIPMENT, FISHING, HUNTING AND BOATING EQUIPMENT are available through the Family and MWR Outdoor Recreation Equipment Rental Program. Commercial and pop-up canopies are available and come in different sizes.
